FitCursor — Account & Data Deletion
Delete your account
Last updated: 9 May 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your FitCursor account and the personal data associated with it. FitCursor is developed by Panos Koulouris (sole trader, Cyprus), the developer named on the Google Play Store listing.
You can delete your account in two ways: directly from the app (recommended), or by emailing us. Both routes delete the same data on the same schedule.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- 1Open the FitCursor app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- 2Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- 3Scroll to the bottom and tap Account → Delete account.
- 4Read the confirmation screen, which lists what will be deleted, and confirm. You may be asked to re-enter your password to verify it’s really you.
- 5You’ll be signed out immediately. Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which signing back in restores it. After 30 days, deletion is permanent.
Option 2 — Email us
- 1Send an email to [email protected] from the email address on your FitCursor account.
- 2Use the subject line “Delete my FitCursor account”. You don’t need to give a reason.
- 3We’ll confirm receipt and verify the request comes from the account holder (usually just by replying from the same email). We respond within a few business days and complete the deletion within 30 days at the latest, in line with GDPR Art. 17.
If you also want a copy of your databefore deletion (GDPR right to portability), mention that in the same email and we’ll send you a JSON export first.
What gets deleted
When deletion is finalized (after the 30-day grace period), the following data is permanently removed from our production systems:
- Account information — your Firebase Authentication record (email, hashed password, sign-in metadata) and your FitCursor user record.
- Profile and onboarding data — height, weight, age range, gender, fitness level, goals, equipment, frequency, lifestyle inputs, preferences, free-text notes, injuries/limitations, and your full profile-history snapshots.
- Training data — workouts, sets, reps, weights, exercise swaps, session feedback, perceived difficulty, and weight-log entries.
- Wearable data — health and activity data ingested via Terra (activity, sleep, heart-rate, HRV, body-composition, recovery, and any nutrition/menstrual-cycle data your device tracked). Your Terra connection is also revoked.
- Subscription metadata we hold (excluding the financial records described below).
What is retained, and for how long
A small amount of data is kept after deletion, only where we’re required to or where it’s strictly necessary to operate the Service:
| Data | Why | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Account & all linked data, during the grace period | So you can recover the account if you change your mind | 30 days from the deletion request, then permanently erased |
| Routine encrypted database backups | Disaster recovery | Overwritten on the standard rotation, within 30 days of deletion |
| Crash and error reports (Sentry) | Bug-fixing; do not include workout content or profile answers | 90 days (Sentry default) |
| Authentication logs (Firebase) | Fraud prevention | Per Firebase defaults, generally up to 30 days |
| Tax / payment records for paid subscriptions | EU tax law (legal obligation under GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)) | Up to 10 years — financial records only (invoice, amount, date), not your fitness or health data |
| Anonymized aggregate analytics | No longer linked to you in any way | May be retained indefinitely |
App Store and Google Play purchase records are managed by Apple and Google directly and are governed by their own retention policies. We don’t see your card details and can’t delete those on your behalf.
Cancel any active subscription first
If you have an active FitCursor subscription, cancel it before deleting your account so you aren’t billed again. Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought from, not by us:
- Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
- Apple App Store:Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
Questions or problems
If something goes wrong with the in-app flow, or you can’t access your account, email [email protected] and we’ll handle it manually.
